Who is Urban Ventures LLC?
Urban
Ventures, LLC is a real estate development company specializing
in loft and condominium housing, mixed-use, and renovating historic
properties in Denver's urban neighborhoods.
Susan Powers,
who is the former director of the Denver Urban Renewal Authority,
and five partners, several of whom are well known in the Denver
development community, formed Urban Ventures in 1998.
Susan and the
partners have been active in the renovation of downtown properties
since the early 1080's. Previous activities include The Denver Pavilions
(a 350,000 sq. ft, retail center), The Denver Dry Lofts (formerly
a 300,000 sq. ft. department store), Mercantile Square, Elitch Gardens
Amusement Park, Silver Square (previously a five building warehouse
complex), and The Studebaker Building (mixed-use and residential
components).
Currently Urban
Ventures is completing Highland Terrace, a fifty-six-unit condominium
project in the Highlands neighborhood, and Fire Clay Lofts, a three
phase 156-unit development also in the Highlands neighborhood.

Susan
Powers, President, was the former Director of the
Denver Urban Renewal Authority (DURA) from 1987 to 1998.
Urban Ventures, LLC is a combined effort of Susan and
five additional partners/investors that have played
an integral role in Downtown Denver's renaissance since
the early 1980's
Urban
Ventures, LLC was formed in 1998 to focus on new construction
and rehabilitation of existing structures in the Denver
Urban Marketplace.
Susan
and her partners at Urban Ventures LLC are committed
to the redevelopment and revitalization of the Downtown
Denver are and continues to contribute towards this
goal with the Fire Clay Lofts.
